Smash Burger Sliders with BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
1.5 lbs Ground Chuck 80/20, divided into 8 equal portions
Kosher Salt
Ground Black Pepper
1 Cup White Cheddar Cheese, shredded
8 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls, sliced in half
1 Yellow Onion, thinly sliced and sautéed
Texas Pete BBQ Sauce (choose preferred flavor)
Directions
- Heat skillet over medium-high heat. When skillet is smoking add ground chuck, firmly press each portion with a spatula until it is a very thin patty, then top with a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
- Let cook for 1 minute then flip and add 1/8 cup of cheese to each patty. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove patties from pan and place directly on the sliced Hawaiian roll. Top patty with sautéed onions, Texas Pete BBQ Sauce and finish with the remaining half of the bun.
- Serve hot with a side of Texas Pete BBQ Sauce and enjoy!
